MIC Nordic Wins Indoor Coverage Contract for Fours Hospitals
MIC Nordic, an indoor coverage specialist form Sweden has recently won an assignment regarding robust indoor coverage and installation of UPS (uninterruptible power) for four hospitals within Region Sörmland (Katrineholm, Nyköping, Eskilstuna and Regional Hospital Karsudden).
The region has stipulated that they must have full control over the network, and that they must also be prepared for the region's upcoming 5G system. With MIC Nordic's solution, Region Sörmland takes a firm hold of all its wireless communications.
Peter Thorander, responsible for the project at MIC Nordic said:

The region's list of demands included, among other things:
- Quad band for MNO, Rakel and G2 for mission critical and full coverage for all four hospitals
built-in redundancy at several levels and independent of any external actor. - Option for all types of peripheral facilities such as health centers and public dental care
private 5G option for the region's own network.
The assignment was carried out in a collaborative project with Axians and Eitech.
