Sure Antennas Supplies Vehicle Intercom Systems for Jack Hodson Ltd's Police Vehicle Conversions

Sure Antennas has announced the supply of its specialist Vehicle Intercom Systems to Jack Hodson Ltd (JHL), a long-established Liverpool-based vehicle converter with over 60 years of experience in the conversion of Police vehicles for forces across the United Kingdom.

A Trusted Partnership

Sure Antennas and Jack Hodson Ltd share a long-standing working relationship, with Sure Antennas having supplied JHL with specialist vehicle antenna solutions and TETRA accessories over many years. This year, JHL undertook several vehicle conversion projects requiring a secure and reliable intercom solution — and selected Sure Antennas' market-leading Vehicle Intercom System to meet that requirement.

Front-to-Rear Intercom: Purpose-Built for Emergency Vehicles

The system deployed for JHL is a Front-to-Rear Intercom configuration. This solution enables the front compartment of a vehicle to communicate information to the rear, without the capability for a rear-to-front response — a critical feature in secure operational environments. The Front-to-Rear system is commonly deployed in Police vans and ambulances where controlled, one-directional communication is essential.

Each kit includes an intercom system interface and speakers, and is designed to integrate seamlessly with Sure Antennas' Push-to-Talk (PTT) Button and a range of other TETRA accessories — providing a comprehensive, cohesive in-vehicle communications solution.

Expanding the Partnership: The 'Sting' Antenna Adopted as Standard

Alongside the intercom systems, JHL has also adopted Sure Antennas' 'Sting' Antenna as their preferred dual band solution across their conversions. The 'Sting' carries IP69K certification for resistance against water and dust ingress, and features a flexible whip design engineered to reduce the risk of long-term physical damage — making it well suited to the demands of active Police vehicle deployment.
