At PMRExpo 2025, telent GmbH will present solutions for secure and connected communication infrastructures. The focus is on OT cybersecurity, interoperable networks enabling the migration from narrowband to broadband, and radio solutions for seamless in-building coverage. A highlight is a new compact system solution that for the first time combines radio services for buildings and tunnels in an extremely small footprint.

Seamless In-Building Radio Coverage

Modern radio-over-fiber technologies and a new compact solution ensure reliable radio coverage in buildings and tunnels.

“Our new development requires only a fraction of the space of conventional control cabinets, uses significantly less energy and can be quickly installed even in existing infrastructures. It truly represents a paradigm shift, and has already proven itself successfully in an initial project,” says Thorsten Altemöller, Account Director Industry & Public Safety at telent.

The architecture integrates all relevant radio services within a very small space — from FM/DAB+ broadcasting to TETRA/DMR systems and other operational radio services — enabling continuous communication even under demanding public safety requirements, as well as in industrial plants, logistics centers and large building complexes.

Interoperable Networks

The transition from narrowband to broadband is one of the key future topics in critical communications. telent relies on “soft” migration concepts that allow operators to gradually link their TETRA and DMR systems with 5G technologies without putting existing investments at risk. As a vendor-independent integrator, telent connects voice groups across different platforms to ensure seamless communication. Network solutions from Nokia and synchronization systems from Adtran provide stable interoperability.

OT and Cybersecurity

With a clear focus on OT security, telent demonstrates how critical infrastructures and industrial production processes can be reliably protected against digital threats. The portfolio includes solutions for preventive and operational monitoring of entire process chains — from simple data diodes and vulnerability analyses to 24/7 monitoring in a Security Operation Center (SOC). In addition, telent offers security and network solutions for civil-military cooperation, specifically designed to protect sensitive communication and control systems.

Industry Engagement and Trade Fair Outlook

As a member of the board of PMeV – Network for Secure Communications, the organization behind PMRExpo, telent actively contributes the perspective of a technology integrator to industry work.

“PMRExpo remains the leading trade fair for secure communications. It is growing again this year, with more exhibitors and an increasingly international profile. For us, it is important to help shape this development within the association and to bring in the perspective of a technology integrator,” Altemöller states.

The telent booth will be complemented by co-exhibitors AIRadio and Safemobile
