SDIS de l'Oise Joins RRF French Emergency and Critical Communications Network
The SDIS 60 is one of the very first Fire fighters organizations (SDIS) in France to officially join the system
The Civilian Fire Services ( SDIS) of the Oise today announced that they entered the French Radio Network of the Future (RRF).
The Radio Network of the Future (RRF) is the new national communication infrastructure dedicated to government services, a secure and interoperable very high-speed network, based on mobile operators' roaming to guarantee optimal coverage in france. Police officers, gendarmes, firefighters, SAMU doctors, all actors in security and rescue, will be required to use the RRF gradually in the coming years. The rollout is expected to begin this summer.
The RRF is designed to cover 98% of the national territory. For areas not covered, the Departmental Fire and Rescue Services (SDIS) will be able to deploy vehicle relays to ensure continuity of service, even in white zones.
Especially for the Fire Fighters the new critical communications network ofers modern and robust communication tools. The technology will allow firefighters to:
- Transmit photos,
- Send videos,
- Share operational data,
- Communicate by voice in real time.
All of this is possible thanks to robust mobile devices, specifically designed to withstand the most extreme operating conditions.
The SDIS 60 is one of the very first Fire fighters organizations (SDIS) in France to officially join the system, For the SDIS 60, RRF will be operational around October 2025.
