Tait Communications Partners with Smye-Rumsby to Complete Mission-Critical 12-Tunnel Project in the UK
The project features a state-of-the-art 12-site Crosswire/Tait dispatch system, supported by a backup server and Tait Communications' high-availability nodes.
Tait Communications is proud to announce the successful ongoing deployment of a 12-tunnel mission-critical communication project in the UK, delivered and deployed by UK Gold Partner, Smye-Rumsby Ltd.
The project features a state-of-the-art 12-site Crosswire/Tait dispatch system, supported by a backup server and Tait Communications' high-availability nodes, all expertly installed in the office control room. This robust infrastructure ensures seamless and reliable communication for mission-critical operations.
The system is connected to 12 tunnels using Tait radios that are designed to perform under the most demanding conditions. To guarantee full coverage throughout the tunnel complex, bi-directional RFI amplifiers were integrated, providing consistent, high-quality signal strength across the entire network.
To enhance security and optimize performance, communication is routed through encrypted VPNs. A Quality of Service (QoS) protocol is configured on the primary VLAN to prioritize critical data traffic, while a separate VLAN with Wi-Fi connectivity supports office operations without compromising network integrity.
This project highlights the power of collaboration between Tait Communications and Smye-Rumsby, showcasing shared commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance communication solutions in the most challenging environments.
