Swissphone Discusses Progress and Deployment for Local Alarm Networks

During the event a large number of relevant topics with regards to the digitization of alarm systems and the deployment of departemental alarm networks were discussed.

On January 21, 2020, manufacturer of critical messaging and paging solutions Swissphone co-organized the knowledge exchange workshop on the progress of the deployment of departmental alarm networks (RDA) in France. The event took place in Metz, at SDIS 57, the local Fire Department.

During the event, a large number of relevant topics with regards to the digitization of alarm systems  and the deployment of departemental alarm networks were discussed. Commander Jean-Daniel Nitting of the ANSC informed about the NexSIS (alert management and operational management related to new digitaltechnoogy while ensuring interoperability between rescue and safety actors in France)
stages and that the RDA will be interfaced within the framework of the NexSIS project, in particular for the pilot of the SDIS 37 which acquired an RDA in 2019.

Damien Martin from the Metz fire department and Jean-Yves Goncalves from the neighbouring fire department presented the geo-redundancy project for their RDA, where Philippe Prévotat from the Eure et loir Fire department (SDIS 28) presented his geolocation and pre-alert project.

Swissphone presented encryption and data protection solutions, as well as remote programming

Rainer Buchmann of ZRF Saar ( the emergency services for Saarland ragio in Germany) gave an overview of the alarm situation in Saarland.

Among the participants we counted 20 SDIS, 2 French government agencies and 2 foreign rescue services.
