Sonim Technologies, the global leader in mission critical LTE-based handsets for public safety, is teaming up with Intrepid Networks, RapidSOS and SceneDoc at the 124th IACP Annual Conference and Expo in Philadelphia, Oct. 21-24.

"We are committed to continuously innovating for the sake of first responders," said Roger Wespe, Manager-National Public Safety Strategy, Sonim Technologies. "The XP7 has become a catalyst for putting the best communications solutions in the palm of your hand. Combined with the latest apps from Intrepid Networks, RapidSOS and SceneDoc, the XP7 is one of the most powerful public safety tools available today."

The following law enforcement solutions are being deployed with Sonim's XP7 handset:

  • Intrepid Throw Phone Kit by Intrepid Networks: This new kit is the first wireless communications system used in law enforcement crisis and hostage negotiations. Negotiators, SWAT and technical support teams are no longer tied to wired solutions, which are unreliable, expensive and difficult to deploy. The Intrepid Throw Phone Kit is built exclusively for the XP7 due to its inherent ultra-rugged capabilities as it's the only device that can take the punishment for this type of application.
  • NG911 Clearinghouse by RapidSOS: RapidSOS' NG911 Clearinghouse lets PSAPs securely access device-based hybrid location information from smartphones. It also offers additional data to 911 and responders from user profiles, smartphone apps, wearable devices, connected cars and connected homes, resulting in faster response and unprecedented situational awareness.
  • SceneDoc: SceneDoc is public safety's new standard for data collection. Comprised of a highly configurable mobile application together with cloud-based data backup and administration, SceneDoc gives officers an efficient and secure way to issue citations using their ruggedized XP7 handsets.
