Samsung Nominates 3GPP TSG CT WG1 Vice Chairman
Samsung is nominating Ricky Kaura as a candidate for the position of 3GPP TSG CT WG1 vice chairman for the elections to be held during the CT1#105 meeting in August 2017, in Krakow, Poland.
Samsung believes his election as CT1 will help 3GPP keep momentum of mission critical LTE. Furthermore, considering his lifetime contributions to this industry,the company believes he is the right person who can lead new 5G standards as well.
Ricky has contributed a lot to LTE standardization of mission critical topics as the Rapporteur of MCPTT Call Control and MCData Signalling Control.
Furthermore 3GPP gave him 3GPP excellence award in 2015 to recognize his huge contribution to mission critical LTE standardization.
