Comba Telecom, Inc. (Subsidiary of Comba Telecom Systems Holdings Ltd.), a global leading wireless solutions provider, announces each of its 700/800MHz CriticalPoin Public Safety Bi-directional Amplifiers (BDAs) now support LTE technology.

The CriticalPoint 700/800MHz public safety BDAs, including both Class A and Class B, in AC and DC versions have added support for FirstNet's™ LTE band 14. Each will continue to support 700MHz or 800MHz single band or 700/800MHz dual band configurations as well as features specific to the individual public safety units.

LTE was first introduced to the North America commercial wireless network in 2010 and has now become the current standard technology for wireless communications. FirstNet was created in 2012 to create a nationwide first-responder network with support for LTE. FirstNet opened its testing facility in Denver, CO in late 2016 and is currently ramping testing and deployment of the nationwide broadband network for first responders.

"LTE technology gives first responders access to both voice and data communications in emergency situations," says Don Henry, Comba Telecom's Public Safety Program Manager. "Adding LTE support to our public safety BDAs continues to show Comba's leadership and commitment to the public safety community."
