Parallel Wireless Covers NY Marathon with PSLTE
Parallel Wireless and its’ ecosystem partners (DC Rentals, Sierra Wireless, Sonim) installed a FirstNet compatible Band 14 demonstration network covering Central Park for the 2016 TCS New York Marathon
During yesterday's Marathon of New York, the network provided first responders with interoperable wireless broadband services including voice, video and live video from security cameras.
Parallel Wireless said that the network enabled officials to monitor real-time video surveillance cameras from handheld devices; they could see security cameras when moving around the finish line.
Parallel Wireless also conducted a test of video upload and download speeds that it plans to share with the Public Safety Communications Research (PSCR).
