The CCBG (Critical Communications Broadband Group) is pleased to announce that the TCCA Board has recently approved a new CCBG White Paper for publication.

The CCBG WG-SA, led by Philippe Devos, has been working in 3GPP on the standardardisation of critical communications features for LTE. Philippe and WG-SA have provided the input to the White Paper, entitled: “Mission Critical Mobile Broadband: Practical standardisation & roadmap considerations”.

This new addition to the CCBG's resources aims to provide supporting information and guidelines for critical communications users, operators and other interested parties who are considering the implementation of mission critical mobile broadband services. It sets out the predicted timeframe for availability of suitable standards and equipment, together with a consequent outline roadmap for LTE as a technology evolution for TETRA and other current mission critical systems.

The CCBG encourages you to review it and make use of it in your own organisation’s consideration of mission critical mobile broadband.
