German Armed Forces first to realise new capabilities of next-generation MXP7000.

Motorola Solutions has unveiled its new MXP7000, an all-in-one mission-critical communications portable device that unifies TETRA and 4G LTE voice and data communications to enhance situational awareness, safety and productivity for the military and public safety.

The rugged and secure MXP7000 gives first responders versatile access to the voice and data communication capabilities they rely on to support the range of situations they face every day, from managing administrative tasks to coordinating emergency response. Applications on the device enable even further flexibility, giving users the ability to easily share rich information such as video between individuals in the field and with control.

The converged radio is easy to operate with its glove-friendly 5-inch touch screen and large, responsive physical buttons. It can also support broadband Push-to-Talk (PTT) and video sharing via WAVE PTX, a carrier-independent broadband PTT service.

The German Armed Forces rely on the new MXP7000

As part of the digitization of land-based operations and to ensure fast communication in various areas in the field, fast and reliable communication is of central importance for the German Armed Forces. They are the first to deploy the MXP7000 to support their demanding safety, efficiency and responsiveness needs. The MXP7000 delivers the mission-critical communications essential to the success of the German Armed Forces’ diverse operations as well as seamless access to the information they need to handle the complexity of their daily responsibilities while prioritising the safety of their soldiers and the public.

”Public safety and military organisations frequently face challenging situations in remote and dangerous environments," said Mark Schmidl, senior vice president at Motorola Solutions. “We designed and developed the MXP7000 to meet our customers' exacting standards, ensuring agencies like the German Armed Forces have resilient voice communications and reliable access to the critical intelligence they need to support every mission.”

The new communications device forms an important part of Motorola Solutions’ mission-critical ecosystem of technologies and was introduced at Critical Communications World (CCW) 2022.
