BK Technologies Corporation today announced it has accepted preorders for its BKR 9000 multiband communications technology for public safety markets, launching this year, from two new customers in Idaho.

BK President Tim Vitou commented, “We are thrilled to announce these first BKR 9000 preorders from two new customers in Idaho. The BKR 9000 will be a multiband communications technology offering for the public safety market. Multiband functionality will allow us to address a significantly larger segment of the public safety market at a substantially higher average selling price, generating greater average revenue per unit. With the anticipated revenue growth from the BKR 9000, we can see a path to $100 million in annual revenues.”

The new BKR 9000 Multiband Portable Communications Technology offers exceptional performance in a lightweight form. Developed at the BK Technology Innovation Center in south Florida, extensive customer input helped create the features and functionality in the BKR 9000 that are required by the public safety market first responders. Along with multiband capabilities, a large top display, large buttons that can be used with heavy gloves and dual-mic noise cancellation are just some of the technologies designed into this device. The BKR 9000 and related accessories will be made in America.

With over 70 years of reliability, BK Technologies is honored to serve our public safety Heroes with a device that brings dependability when every moment counts.
