Hytera recently donated radio infrastructure including equipment and medical consumables to the Peruvian Ministry of Health.

Private companies and government institutions are working together to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, which, according to official figures, has so far killed more than 11,000 Peruvians and infected a further 300,000.

Hytera handed over more than 100,000 masks to Health Minister Victor Zamora. The masks are manufactured by Hytera and are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

"We would like to thank Hytera for the donation. This material is of inestimable value for those of use working in healthcare. They have joined with other companies in our efforts to stop this terrible pandemic. We are very grateful," stated Minister Zamora during the official deliver of the tools and equipment.

Multi-mode radios and Bodycams for seamless communication
The donation also includes 50 multi-mode radios and Bodycams to provide video testimony from field personnel. This is in addition to an integrated communications platform.

"We are donating a unified communications matrix that will allow the forces who are spread all over Peru to fight this pandemic to be able to be connected to one another. Furthermore, from the operations command centre they can monitor the point-to-point communications, real time video and GPS locations of all the units," explained the president of Hytera Peru, Luis Pérez González.
