The range of functions of the PD985 has now been expanded to include the VHF frequency range (136 - 174 MHz)

The high-end product in Hytera's DMR range was launched on the market at PMRExpo 2016 and has proved extremely popular ever since. The range of functions of the PD985 has now been expanded to include the VHF frequency range (136 - 174 MHz). This means that customers with existing VHF frequencies and customers applying for new frequencies can now benefit from the radio's many and varied functions in equal measure.

The PD985 is one of Hytera's high-end devices for the PMR market. Developed in accordance with the DMR standard, it boasts a number of highly useful functionalities.

Thanks to integrated Bluetooth® 4.0, the PD985 can be used with wireless audio accessories. It also supports simple data exchange and easy programming via Bluetooth®.

The PD985 enables users to make full-duplex calls in telephone networks and to other PD985 radios in DMR Tier III. This makes it possible for both parties to the conversation to talk and listen at the same time without having to press the PTT button.

A special highlight of the PD985 is the new Hytera smart battery function. Thanks to the intelligent charger, the condition of the battery, such as its state of charge, battery life and remaining charging time, can be monitored and controlled. The smart battery function also considerably reduces the amount of time the battery takes to charge while extending the battery's service life.

The first deliveries of the VHF version of the PD985 have already been made to customers in Europe. Just under 100 devices have been distributed in countries such as Poland, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland.
