With its sleek, curved edges and rugged frame the MOTOTRBO™ SL1600 is the perfect on board communications partner that can be easily carried in a pocket without snagging, or bulging.

The 127.95ft / 39m SL39 'KATHLEEN ANNE' was built in 2009 by Feadship. It is capable of carrying up to 8 crew on board and sleeping up to 10 guests. Timeless styling, and beautiful furnishings feature throughout her living areas creating an elegant and comfortable atmosphere, ensuring a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Working with the Motorola GP344 analogue two way radio since the yachts launch Captain, Ben Taylor felt it was a natural progression to move to a MOTOTRBO™ digital two way radio when the GP344 ceased production. After reviewing a number of compact portables the crew decided upon the MOTOTRBO™ SL1600 digital hand portable radio. With its sleek, curved edges and rugged frame the MOTOTRBO™ SL1600 is the perfect on board communications partner that can be easily carried in a pocket without snagging, or bulging. The Shatterproof Active View display uses hidden LED lighting to communicate channel, radio, and volume information crisply in both daytime and night-time situations.

Captain, Ben Taylor commented "The MOTOTRBO SL1600 has streamlined our communications, and made messages clear and quiet allowing us to operate discretely on board".

UK based DCRS delivered the communications system.
