The DMR Association, 2011 announced that the VXD series of Vertex Standard has successfully completed interoperability testing and therefore compatible with the "Selex Communication and MOTOTRBO digital two-way radios.

Vertex Standard, a manufacturer of radio and communications solutions, has announced the new VXD Series conventional digital radios for land mobile in EMEA. An Interview with Paul De Carte, Vertex Standard Distribution Director, about the new series, as well as needs and trends of the market.

Vertex Standard has introduced new digital radios for the European market. What is special about the equipment?

Paul De Carte, Vertex Standard Distribution Director: "The new VXD digital radio series includes the following models:. The handheld radio VXD-720, VXD-7200, mobile station and the repeater VXD-R70 The new digital radio series was designed for a very efficient operation in analog and digital modes. This eases the transition to the company pioneering digital radio technology. Also, users can gradually expand with budget constraints on digital: You can use either one or a radio channel sequentially or convert the entire system at once - for each functional or financial requirements."

"In addition, the VXD Series operates in the most used digital wireless protocol: Digital Mobile Radio (DMR). DMR is based on the TDMA method with two time slots for operation in the 12.5 kHz channel region."
