EDX adds export of FCC Contour Data to Google Earth in its RF Planning and Network Design suite

EDX Wireless, a leading developer of RF planning tools, today announced extended support for FCC Contour Mapping. EDX planning tools including EDX® SignalPro® now offer the ability to directly export FCC Service Contours to Google Earth™. Public Safety, Land Mobile, Broadcast and other services that rely on this type of signal coverage method for FCC licensing and proposals can now present their results both within the EDX planning tool as well as within the popular Google Earth maps format.

The FCC Contour export function is part of EDX's ongoing commitment to providing increased value and functionality, while extending interoperability within the Public Safety market sector and is integrated beginning with version 7.4.2 / 10.4.2. This new release will be made available to all new customers as well as those who are under a maintenance contract.
