An instant communication solution that offers PTT voice communications and secure data, allowing employees to stay connected, no matter where they are and the device and network they are using

Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) launches WAVE PTX, an instant communication service via broadband subscription, with nationwide coverage, allowing companies to connect their different work teams instantaneously and reliably in order to keep operations up and running, independent from network technology.

WAVE PTX is a flexible solution, designed to meet the operational needs of multiple industries no matter how complex or simple their operations are. It allows teams to stay connected even if they just need secure instant voice and data communication, or for those with more complex operations with the need to communicate with video, documents and localization. Organizations that use two-way radio communications can expand their coverage and functionality by connecting to broadband networks.

The transportation and logistics, private security, manufacturing, construction and hospitality companies, among others, are already transforming their global communications with the help of this service. WAVE PTX offers PTT ( Push To Talk) voice communications and secure data in real-time via any IP-network, allowing workers and their work teams to share images, documents, maps, messages and videos, and to stay connected using their usual devices (cellphones, tablets, notebooks, radios), no matter what network they are using.

This cloud-based solution, which works through cellular networks, can use any mobile device with Android or IOS, radios, rugged custom-designed devices or ones with a web application for PC, and allows for interoperability with two-way radio systems such as DMR and TETRA. It also includes the video streaming feature, which makes it possible for WAVE PTX users to continually stream video from their device at the push-of-a-button, allowing the audience, one-to-one or one-to-many, to view events and activities in real-time as they take place.

In addition to the application and its features, the solution has advanced dispatch software built-in that organizes and coordinates team communications, providing a comprehensive overview of all operations. This includes precise mapping tools to track the location of people and resources, which helps increase situational awareness and protect workers in times of emergency.

“Today's world, where remote and virtual work predominates, has evidenced the need for employees to be able to securely connect from any location and from any device. WAVE PTX is a flexible and scalable solution that can be quickly implemented, allowing instant and team communication at the push-of-a-button, and ensuring work groups are connected at all times, no matter where they are, maintaining productive and efficient operations”, affirms Ércole Donadio, Broadband PTT product leader for Motorola Solutions Latin America.

Motorola Solutions complements its WAVE PTX offering with TLK 100 (portable) and TLK150 (mobile), devices designed exclusively for this service, which optimizes the effectiveness and ease of use and facilitates interoperability with MOTOTRBO two-way radios systems.

The new devices have location tracking, 3G/4G/LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, voice announcement and incoming call identification. For greater comfort, the device can be configured remotely and "over-the-air" through a shared administration portal via web browser. The TLK 100's and TLK150’s robust design is based on military standards and is ready for use in nationwide broadband within Argentina.

WAVE PTX, available through certified Motorola Solutions channels, is the ideal solution for any organization that wants to merge large groups of people into a single communications platform simply and affordably. It's a highly reliable service, with geo-redundant backup links, and support from the Motorola Solutions control room.
