Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utility Company (LGE-KU), a utilities company based in Louisville, KY serving nearly 1 million electric and over 300,000 natural gas customers, selects Avtec, Inc. to replace its existing Centracom Gold Elite analog dispatch system with Scout™ consoles.
In total, the new dispatch system will include 60 Scout console positions distributed across 24 sites. The system will take advantage of Avtec’s Radio Internet Protocol Communications Modules (RIC-M™) to interface with Motorola Quantar repeaters and Avtec’s Frontier™ product to connect LGE-KU network constrained remote sites.
