Integration with Mission Critical Communications (MCX) platforms enables interoperability with legacy narrowband devices such as TETRA, DMR and TETRAPOL. The FR55 is eMBMS (Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) certified, enabling responders to simultaneously broadcast multimedia intelligence — such as maps, images and video streams — to a large number of users (license required). And AI neural network-based noise suppression, three microphones and two speakers deliver next-level voice clarity, ensuring workers can easily hear every conversation.

Support for 2nd gen 5G (Rel 16) provides the fastest and more secure cellular connections. The FR55 supports a wide range of LTE and 5G radio bands, including frequencies dedicated to public safety. A top-mounted programmable red duress button can be configured to provide a swift and efficient means of calling for assistance during an emergency. The large programmable Push-to-Talk (PTT) button is optimised for use with gloved hands. In addition, the other buttons on the sides of the FR55 can also be programmed, providing one-touch access to a frequently used application, screen brightness adjustment, channel selection, a series of menu choices to streamline navigation through applications, and more. Capture critical details in high-quality photos with the rear-facing 16 MP camera with High Dynamic Range (HDR), Pro mode and Zebra’s advanced camera application that even alerts users when the camera lens is dirty.
