FSG Backs Evam to Modernise Public Safety Software

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

Fåhraeus Startup & Growth Fund II (FSG) today announces that it has co-led a SEK 38 million Series A financing round in Evam, a Stockholm-based software company building the first true cloud-native platform for public safety organisations, alongside Industrifonden.

Evam’s platform spans in-vehicle incident management, mobile tools for frontline personnel, and a cloud backend connecting directly to control rooms. Today, the platform is used by more than 100 municipalities and regions across Sweden and the UK, supporting police, ambulance and fire and rescue services.

Public safety is one of the last major industries still operating on pre-cloud infrastructure. Legacy vendors have dominated the market for decades with fragmented on-premise systems that are costly to maintain and slow to evolve. Evam has taken a fundamentally different approach with a single-codebase SaaS platform featuring over-the-air updates, 99.99% availability, and implementation times significantly faster than incumbent solutions.

Since entering the market, the company has demonstrated strong commercial momentum, winning every competitive tender it has entered and expanding rapidly across both the Nordics and the UK.
