Canoga Perkins and Druid Software Deliver Zero-Loss Resilience for Mission-Critical Private 5G Networks
FRER technology and 5G Time-Sensitive Networking bring hitless failover and deterministic performance to public safety, industrial automation, and critical infrastructure

CHATSWORTH, CA & BRAY, IRELAND – February 24, 2026 — Canoga Perkins and Druid Software have announced a strategic technology partnership that addresses one of the most pressing challenges in mission-critical communications: the need for guaranteed, lossless data delivery over private 5G networks. The two companies successfully demonstrated Frame Replication and Elimination for Reliability (FRER) during the Winter 2025 Druid Demo Days, marking a significant milestone for industries where network failure is simply not an option.

A New Standard for Mission-Critical 5G Resilience

In mission-critical environments — from emergency services and public safety to mining, industrial automation, and smart manufacturing — even a single packet of lost data can have serious operational, safety, or financial consequences. FRER directly addresses this vulnerability by simultaneously replicating data frames across multiple paths and eliminating duplicates at the destination, ensuring that traffic arrives intact even if a network path fails.

The joint demonstration brought together Canoga Perkins' SyncMetra® platform and Druid Software's Raemis™ private 5G core, creating an end-to-end private 5G network architecture capable of delivering hitless failover and continuous video traffic between the core network and the Radio Area Network (RAN). In practice, this means mission-critical applications — from real-time video surveillance to industrial control systems — remain fully operational even when network disruptions occur.

"Private 5G is moving beyond coverage and capacity — it is becoming the backbone of industrial control systems," said Tadhg Kenny, President of Strategic Global Partnerships at Druid Software. "With Raemis™ at the core and Canoga Perkins' FRER capabilities protecting traffic flows, we demonstrated industrial-grade resilience and hitless failover across the data path from core to RAN."

The Technology Behind the Partnership

Canoga Perkins' SyncMetra® is a software-defined, IT-operated 5G transport solution that integrates Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) to provide the ultra-reliable, low-latency communications that mission-critical applications demand. It is designed for environments where network determinism — predictable, guaranteed performance — is non-negotiable.

Druid Software's Raemis™ is a 3GPP-compliant, enterprise-grade private 5G core platform built for mission-critical deployment at scale. Supporting network slicing, seamless RAN integration with any vendor, and scalable connectivity from tens to tens of thousands of devices, Raemis™ provides the architectural flexibility and resilience that critical operations require. Its full radio-agnostic design ensures long-term investment protection and vendor independence.

Together, the two platforms deliver what the critical communications industry has long sought: a fully integrated, deterministic private 5G solution with end-to-end protection of mission-critical data flows.

Looking Ahead: 5G TSN and Deeper Collaboration

The partnership between Canoga Perkins and Druid Software is set to deepen, with ongoing development work focused on 5G Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) integration to further enhance deterministic performance for demanding industrial and public safety applications.

"We understand that customers are looking for far more than just a standalone product; they are seeking solutions that comprehensively address their complex and evolving operational challenges," said Malik Arshad, President of Canoga Perkins. "By bringing our industry expertise together, we are positioned to provide a unified, highly efficient, and incredibly flexible 5G TSN solution that drives the next wave of industrial automation and autonomy."
