InterTalk Expands Enlite Capabilities with Integrated UCaaS Messaging Platform

Curated by: Gert Jan Wolf - Editor-in Chief for The Critical Communications Review

InterTalk has completed a significant enhancement to its Enlite communications platform with the introduction of a Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) messaging capability. Delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025, the update is designed to support teams that require advanced, reliable messaging functions alongside mission-critical voice communications.

The new UCaaS messaging platform extends Enlite’s capabilities to include integrated SMS, MMS, and internal console-to-console chat between operators. By combining voice and text within a single operational environment, Enlite now enables organizations to experience true end-to-end communications in live, real-world scenarios.

According to industry observers, the addition of UCaaS messaging highlights Enlite’s unified telephony and messaging architecture and its suitability for agencies seeking modern, secure, and efficient communication tools. The platform has been designed with a strong emphasis on reliability, secure messaging, and dispatcher usability—key requirements for public safety and mission-critical environments.

Technically, the UCaaS functionality is embedded directly within Enlite missions, allowing voice, SMS, MMS, and operator messaging to be managed from a single console. This approach simplifies workflows and reduces the need for separate systems, improving operational efficiency and situational awareness.
The enhancement also positions Enlite to better support Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) infrastructures. By providing an intuitive interface for visualizing and managing incoming public safety SMS and multimedia messages, the platform helps dispatchers gain faster, clearer insight into incidents. This can contribute to reduced response times and improved outcomes during critical events.

With the introduction of UCaaS messaging, Enlite continues to evolve as a comprehensive communications solution, addressing the growing demand for unified voice and text capabilities in complex, high-stakes operational environments.
