Systra to Deliver Migration Strategy Services in UK Transition to FRMCS

SYSTRA UK and Ireland, a company that delivers planning and development consultancy, engineering design, project management, and specialist technical services, has announced it intention to provide support to the Rail Safety and Standards Boards (RSSB) in the transition to the Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) in the United Kingdom.

The country's current GSM-R system is to be replaced by the new system, and SYSTRA is now responsible for the development of a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for the sector's transition.
The RSSB and a number of pertinent stakeholders will assess and continue to work with the data that has been provided.

SYSTRA has been selected to execute the project as a result of its prior collaboration with FRMCS in Europe and Australia.

SYSTRA's UK & Ireland and Australia & New Zealand teams will be responsible for the completion of project deliverables, which include a migration strategy report and a scoping presentation for industry groups & strategic agenda. JF Rail Consulting will serve as the local partner.
