Rohill Participates in ETSI’s MCX Plugtests in Texas
Last week, Rohill took part in the 9th MCX Plugtest, an interoperability testing event organized by ETSI and hosted by Texas A&M University. Over the course of five days, the event brought together industry leaders to conduct extensive testing and debugging of Mission Critical Services (MCX) solutions.
MCX refers to Mission Critical Push to Talk (MCPTT), Mission Critical Data (MCData), and Mission Critical Video (MCVideo) – a set of standardized communication services designed to ensure reliable and secure communication for public safety and other critical operations.
During the Plugtest, Rohill successfully executed Interworking Function (IWF) tests with eight different MCX vendors, validating the seamless interoperability between Mission Critical Services (MCX) and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems based on open standards. This milestone highlights the importance of standard-based interworking solutions in ensuring reliable and future-proof mission-critical communications.
“The MCX Plugtest was an excellent opportunity to collaborate with industry professionals and validate our InterWorking Gateway with different vendors and in different scenarios,” said Lenard Molhoek, Solution Specialist at Rohill. “Interoperability between MCX and LMR is crucial for a smooth transition to broadband-based critical communications, and the results from this event reinforce our commitment to open standards.”
Rohill extends its appreciation to ETSI for organizing a well-structured and productive event and looks forward to further advancing interoperability within the mission-critical communications industry.
