Amphenol Procom, supplier of base station antennas, portable & mobile antennas, combiners, filters and DAS solutions, introduced the ProConnect, a compact antenna with low visual impact, whilst high on performance and truly versatile.

The ProConnect is ideal for industrial robotics, warehouse automation, telemetry, smart metering, autonomous vehicles, smart cities and smart fleets, backup, and remote terminal data connections.

The application ideas are endless and the solutions is ideally suited to be installed in smart transportation - public safety, fleet management, and intelligent transports solutions.

The demand for high performance antennas for new networks such as 5G and Wi-Fi 6, mean that no matter the end application, fixed or mobile, the electrical and mechanical attributes become very similar.

Amphenol now delivers as 2X2 MIMO (ProConnectPlus) or SISO (ProConnect) these ground plane independent antennas cover 4G, 5G, CBRS, WiFi 2.4 / 5 and Wi-Fi6. Options include either 1 or 2 X GNSS element(s).

The environmental specification is high end too. IP69K ingression protection, IK10 impact resistance and ECE 118 fire rated cables. All this in a product measuring only ø 120 mm / 4.72” and 60 mm / 2.36” high.

Installation flexibility comes from two mounting arrangements. The cable from the antenna exits via a through hole stud. That’s a typical vehicle installation. Or side exit, for fixing to tops of cabinets, racks or vending machines
