Mark43, the leading cloud-native public safety software provider, today announced the launch of its Records Management System (RMS) and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) for the West Covina Police Department (WCPD) and the West Covina Fire Department (WCFD) in Los Angeles County, California. With the upgrade, WCPD and WCFD will provide emergency workers with enhanced response in order to serve the LA County community.

The launch of Mark43’s RMS will provide efficient report-writing while streamlining property, evidence, and investigation management. Mark43’s CAD was designed through thousands of hours of user shadowing to be a natural extension of the dispatcher, call taker, or in-field first responder during emergency response.

The move to the Mark43’s RMS offers painless compliance with the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). Additionally, Mark43’s RMS allows for seamless data-sharing between the WCPD, resulting in quick collaboration across West Covina’s 90 sworn officers. Through Mark43’s cloud-native technology, WCFD and WCPD officers, firefighters, agency employees, and dispatchers can easily access vital data quicker than ever, improving safety, situational awareness, and the ability to serve their community.

“Equipping our first responders with modern technology is key in ensuring we can continue to best serve LA County,” said Chief Richard Bell of the West Covina Police Department. “Both the West Covina Police Department and West Covina Fire Department are empowered to focus their efforts on preventing crime and assisting community members with Mark43’s technology streamlining efforts across the board.”
