Dr Yoram Benit has been appointed interim CEO of Tait Communications, says Board Chair Sir Brian Roche. Dr Benit joined Tait in 2018 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in February 2019.

"Yoram is a highly respected CTO, COO, and industry veteran with more than three decades of technology and leadership experience, including successful tours with fortune 500 companies in the US," Sir Brian says. "He is a proven technology leader with a distinguished track record of innovation, talent development, and a deep knowledge of the critical communications field. He will continue a values-based leadership approach with a strong focus on innovation and operational execution."

"After careful consideration, the Board concluded that Yoram is the right choice at this time when his technology and engineering expertise can be drawn upon to lead Tait during this critical period of transformation. The Board is confident that Yoram, together with the rest of the leadership team, will ensure strong execution of Tait's strategy to build on its product leadership and take advantage of the significant opportunities ahead as it continues to transform from an LMR (mobile radio) to a multi-architecture solutions company."

Sir Brian says the Board will use the interim period to undertake a multinational search for a permanent CEO to lead Tait from its global headquarters in Christchurch, New Zealand. The appointment follows the resignation of Garry Diack, who has moved to another chief executive post.
