Malheur County, Oregon has contracted with Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) to provide public safety consulting services.

Lieutenant Richard Harriman, Emergency Manager for the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Project Manager for the County described the project: “The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office has started phase 1 in a multi-phased project to bring its Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system up to date, improve technology, and address any weak coverage areas or ‘dead spots’ in our service. Malheur County’s LMR is the system our Emergency First Responders, public works, road crews and other County and City services use to dispatch services and communicate with one another via two-way radio. MCSO applied for and was granted funds in the FY2020 State Homeland Security Grant to contract out a full Communications Assessment. Federal Engineering out of Fairfax, VA was selected to perform our Assessment. Federal Engineering or “FE” has performed a number of jobs in Oregon, both smaller and much larger in scale than what we expect in our Malheur County Assessment.”
