UTC Moves Annual Conference to August

The Utilities Technology Council (UTC) moved its Telecom & Technology Conference from June to August. The event will now take place from August 23-27 in Portland, Oregon.

The UTC said that it had reviewed the results of a COVID-19 survey that it conducted and consulted with its executive committee.

“We have evaluated all requests, suggestions and concerns provided by our valued members and taken them into consideration as we continue planning and preparing for another great conference,” the UTC said in announcing the decision. “The decision to modify the conference dates was not a hard one. For us all to safely gather in Portland, we decided that the only option would be to allow more time for travel restrictions and requirements to be revised, vaccination rollouts to continue and overall comfortability in large gatherings to resume.”
