FirstNet expands across Arkansas

Arkansas’ first responders are getting a major boost in their wireless communications with the addition of new, purpose-built FirstNet(link is external) cell sites and other network enhancements. This new infrastructure is a part of the FirstNet network expansion taking place across the state, bringing increased coverage, capacity and capabilities for public safety.

“FirstNet is a game-changer for first responders,” said Arkansas State Representative and first responder Jeff Wardlaw who serves his community as a volunteer firefighter. “This platform has provided us with a number of new resources including priority communication that is essential for public safety personnel and the communities we serve.”
