Babcock has been awarded a number of contracts and extensions, worth around £80m over the next three years, for services to the UK’s Metropolitan Police Service (Met).

This includes the continued provision of essential fleet and engineering services that ensures the availability of over 3,500 vehicles and associated specialist equipment; as well as the delivery of six specialist marine vessels for the Met’s Marine Policing Unit that will be the forefront of front line policing on the River Thames.

As part of the deal, the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) granted Babcock a three-year contract, signed in September 2020, for the delivery of one Command and Control Vessel
