The Public Safety Network announced today that it has hired Andrew “Drew” Delaney as its new Director of Business Development and Advisory Services. Delaney brings extensive experience in the technology and telecommunications industry, most recently serving in key roles for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet), including Enterprise Strategy, Products and Solutions, and Government Affairs. While at FirstNet, Delaney worked on a portfolio of strategic initiatives including network reinvestment, industry partnerships, and public safety user input into specialty devices and Internet of Things (IoT) solution development. Additionally, he led FirstNet’s government affairs efforts in thirteen states, which resulted in all Governors accepting the FirstNet State Plans.

In this newly created role, Delaney will oversee the expansion of the Public Safety Network's consulting business and help advise clients on the emerging public safety broadband marketplace. His experience at FirstNet and Lucent Technologies (now Nokia), combined with his marketing, government affairs and product development skills, will help current and future clients bring innovative wireless technologies to public safety agencies to create efficiencies and, more importantly, help save lives.
