In Gerald Nolte, Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH has appointed an experienced expert from its own ranks as development manager for the company.

The 51-year-old is the new Chief Officer Technology (CTO) and responsible for the research and development department in Bad Münder and Flensburg.

"I am extremely pleased that Gerald Nolte will therefore be strengthening the leadership of Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH and that in the future he will significantly shape the future of our company with his expertise and dedication in this new role," said CEO Matthias Klausing.

Gerald Nolte has been part of the Hytera Mobilfunk software development team since the beginning of 2017, which he led until his appointment to the top management of the company. The 51-year-old brings more than 20 years of experience in software development, project and quality management and is looking forward to the exciting tasks ahead of him as the new head of development for Hytera Mobilfunk.

"Our particular strength lies in the close interdisciplinary cooperation of our hardware and software specialists as well as system testers, who are now bringing their long-term PMR experience from the TETRA product ACCESSNET-T IP® into innovative broadband solutions.”

Gerald Nolte sees the particular challenge of mission-critical push-to-talk solutions over broadband wireless networks above all in the areas of high availability and IT security. "Due to the focus of the current TETRA product versions on public safety networks, we have created modern and secure solutions that are indispensable above all when used in broadband networks," is the conviction of the new CTO.
