Austrian Federal Minister recognises prestigious ICCA Award for Frequentis
On 17 March 2016 Federal Minister Gerald Klug of the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology, visited the Austrian high-tech company and congratulated Frequentis with the prestigieus International Critical Communication Award.
He congratulated CEO Hannes Bardach for awarding the "International Critical Communications Award 2016".
Frequentis won the top award in the category “Best use of TETRA for Public Safety” for its best practice voice communication system implemented at the Bavarian Police during the 2015 G7 Summit in June.
Technology Minister Gerald Klug: "We invest around 500 million euros in industrial research and development. This will strengthen our economy and make Austrian companies internationally competitive. Frequentis is an impressive example of the development and implementation of innovative technologies made in Austria. "The outstanding achievements of the company is now awarded - for that I congratulate you".
In the past three years, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) has supported Frequentis with around 11 million euros.
