Zetron and EFJohnson announced that Zetron’s new Advanced Communications (AcomNOVUS) system has tested successfully with EFJohnson’s ATLAS P25 infrastructure, using the P25 Console Subsystem Interface (CSSI).

Zetron, a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions worldwide, has completed successful testing of its recently announced Advanced Communications (AcomNOVUS) system with EFJohnson’s ATLAS P25 infrastructure, using the P25 Console Subsystem Interface (CSSI) standard. The testing confirms that the feature and functionality requirements specified by the CSSI standard have been met, and that these systems integrate and perform together seamlessly. Live demonstrations of the combined AcomNOVUS/ATLAS P25 solution will be presented in the EFJohnson booth at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Conference in Washington D.C., August 17-18, 2015.

Based on Zetron’s proven Acom solution, AcomNOVUS utilizes an enterprise-class server architecture to build on the established, highly available Acom system used by complex dispatch operations worldwide. As a result, it delivers a rich feature set that supports proven and advanced capabilities. AcomNOVUS is unsurpassed in its ability to be customized to meet specific operational and user requirements. In addition, its easy-to-use web-based configuration and maintenance tools can be accessed from any PC, laptop, or tablet on the system. AcomNOVUS also provides the unified and seamless integration of telephone and radio technologies that many mission-critical operations require and that other console solutions are unable to offer.

ATLAS P25 systems are renowned for their architectural simplicity, superior performance, and unmatched reliability. Based on EFJohnson’s patented distributed architecture, the ATLAS P25 infrastructure ensures a highly reliable and resilient system solution capable of withstanding multiple points of failure.

“EFJohnson’s ATLAS P25 portfolio complements Zetron’s mission-critical command-and-control solutions,” said Karthik Rangarajan, SVP of Strategy and Products at EFJohnson Technologies. “The successful testing of the ATLAS P25 CSSI solution with AcomNOVUS proves EFJohnson’s commitment to open standards that will provide customers the flexibility to choose ‘best-of-breed’ solutions.” “This most recent success with EFJohnson highlights the power of combining two industry-leading technologies to create superior solutions for our customers,” said Zetron V.P. and General Manager, Kathy Broadwell. “This effort also demonstrates our commitment to leveraging open standards to ensure that customers have maximum flexibility in their equipment choices.”

Live demos of this combined solution will be presented in the EFJohnson booth at the APCO Conference in Washington DC August 17-18, 2015.
