Eurofunk Kappacher provides security at Integrated Control Center Waldshut, Germany
Since May 5, all rescue and fire fighting operations are planned with the latest technology in the integrated control center (ILS) for the German Red Cross (DRK) in Waldshut.
Control Center Director Patrick Frey of the DRC Waldshut District Association and the senior technicians of the contractors who were charged with the renewal of the ILS, monitored the changeover from the old system to the new technology. The shift in the operation of the service worked perfectly and without any incident. "In addition to the competence of the technicians, this is above all a success of our team of of operators that has mastered those unique challenges with great commitment," praises Frey his staff and employees.
The EU-wide tender of the control station technology took place at the turn of the year 2013/2014. As a general contractor, Eurofunk Kappacher was commissioned. All technical work in the control room started by the end of 2014. The work presented special requirements on the control center team, made parallel to normal operation.
Around one Million Euros were invested by the National Health Insurance and the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg. "This is a great contribution to the optimization of emergency rescue and fire protection in the Waldshut district," explains Patrick Frey.
