The first Comms Connect Sydney conference and exhibition was a tremendous success, with exhibitors, speakers and attendees all making the most of the event.

This year's Comms Connect Sydney was held at the refurbished historic engine workshops of the Australian Technology Park, where visitors from the various vertical markets (Public Safety, law enforcement, M2M, etc. visited the event.

Many presentations where given by industry specialists such as Rod Gilmour, Chairman of the NSW Telco Authority, Lance Valcour (representing the Law Enforcement Information Management Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police) and Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons, who gave a presentation on the work of the Rural fire Service that was focused on the specific need for communications.

During the exhibition, companies were presenting their latest products and solutions towards the visitors.

Jonathan Nally, editor-in-cheif of Critical Comms talked to many of the visitors, who all said they were happy and surprised with the success of the exhibition.

The next Comms Connect event on critical communications in Australia will be held in Melbourne from the 30th September until 2nd October.
