Airwave to exhibit and present at British APCO 2013

Airwave will be exhibiting at the
15th annual British
APCO 2013 exhibition and conference taking place from
29 - 30 April at Manchester Central (previously Manchester GMEX). Airwave
(stand number E12) will use the opportunity to showcase new business
propositions.The
theme for B-APCO 2013 is ‘Knowledge Exchange for Public Safety Communications’
and Airwave will share their experiences during the interactive workshops.

‘Convergence of emergency control plans’:
A critical challenge to
coordinate an effective response to any major catastrophe or incident is to
ensure that there is communications interoperability between all the responding
organisations - without interoperability it becomes almost impossible. Airwave
shares learnings and best practice to consider how improved interoperability
could benefit the safety of major UK industries, such as oil and gas.

‘Future user communication requirements
for the emergency services’: Under
the chairmanship of Commander Richard Morris, the ACPO lead for IT communications,
this workshop will focus on the future arrangements to sustain and develop the
user requirements of the emergency services with input from chief officers,
representatives from the Emergency Services Mobile Communication Programme
(ESMCP), Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP), TETRA and
the Critical Communications Association (TCCA) and the main voice and mobile
providers.
