At the end of September 2012, Motorola received the first BDBOS certification for a TETRA terminal with its TCR1000 TETRA Covert Radio.

Motorola Solutions (NYSE:MSI), a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions, receives the certification for its complete TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) terminal portfolio from the German Federal Agency for Digital Radio of Security Authorities and Organisations (BDBOS). The certification includes the Motorola MTP830FuG, MTP850FuG, MTP850Ex, MTP810Ex and MTP850 TETRA handheld portable digital radios as well as the MTM800FuG TETRA vehicle mobile radio. This again underlines Motorola’s leading position in developing and implementing TETRA digital radio solutions for the German security authorities and organisations (Behörden und Organisationen mit Sicherheitsaufgaben, BOS).

At the end of September 2012, Motorola received the first BDBOS certification for a TETRA terminal with its TCR1000 TETRA Covert Radio. The examination by an independent BDBOS test laboratory attests that Motorola’s TETRA terminal portfolio fulfils the highest performance and security standards.

Peter Damerau, Sales Director BOS at Motorola Solutions Germany GmbH:
"Following the certification of the first TETRA terminal, we are very happy to receive the official BDBOS certification for our complete TETRA terminal portfolio. This underlines our leading position in the TETRA market. With our TETRA digital radio solutions we meet the high expectations of German security authorities and organisations and support them, to securely communicate even in mission-critical situations.”

Motorola has been supplying TETRA digital radios and equipment as well as associated services to a number of German security authorities and organisations since the first TETRA invitations to tender in 2009. These include security forces in Berlin, Hessen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia as well as federal security organisations. Recently, Motorola delivered the 100,000th TETRA digital radio terminal to the German BOS - another important milestone for the introduction of TETRA technology in Germany. The global Motorola Competence Centre for TETRA digital radio is located in Berlin.
