The new portable and mobile radios will be put into use during the summer of 2013. The old equipment is fully depreciated.

The Dutch C2000 Safety region; Haaglanden has purchased new TETRA portable and mobile radios that will be used for critical communications on the C2000 network. Through these devices the firemen will communicate with each other during an incident. The operational service of Fire Bridgade Haaglanden will be using two types of radios.

The new technology of this equipment ensures a better reach. By using a so-called "repeater" the technical capabilities of the C2000 network will be utilized. And thus the safety of the rescuers. The radios are fully waterproof.

Also the Haaglanden medical rescue organization will get new equipment in 2013. For consistency with the equipment on the ambulance they have chosen for the Motorola 850S.
