EUTC conference 2012 in Warsaw visited by TETRA forum Poland

There were representatives of the Polish energy sector, including RWE Poland, PGE and Energa Operator, with whom the TETRA forum Poland had an interesting conversation about the future of TETRA in the Polish energy sector.

Last week at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel the 2012 EUTC conference took place. The event was visited by about 150 participants from all over the world. One of the most important topics during the event was: How information and communication technologies to help power companies meet the requirements of energy and climate package. This 20/20/20 package can be described as follows: to set up at least 20% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, an increase of 20% and increase energy efficiency by 20% the share of renewable energy in overall energy consumption. All this would be achieved by 2020.

In addition to participants coming from Europe, delegates from countries as far away as the USA, India, New Zealand and Brazil where attending the event. The event, a 3-day program of presentations and lectures discussing issues as security of ICT systems for utility companies, Smart Grid as a necessity on the way to meet the requirements of 20/20/20 where discussed.
