After much back and forth, in 2014, in the state of Bavaria,Germany finally, the digital public safety radio communications for police, emergency services and other agencies and organizations will be introduced.

This has been announced by Simon Srownal from the security department Donauwörther District Office. Before the implementation will take place, in April 2014, a six-month trial run will start in several municipalities, however, only in those where are already the appropriate radio masts are installed.

After the removal of the traditional analog radio, there was no alternative but to participate in the digital radio. The analog radio will shut down completely. The necessary devices, both hand-held devices, as well as the equipment for the vehicles would have to be purchased by the  communities themselves and would be subsidized by the state, with 80 percent.
