Worldwide supplier of audio codecs joins global critical communications association.

AETA Audio Systems, a specialist in audio transmission for professional users, has announced membership of TCCA, the global member-led organisation for the critical communications ecosystem.

Based in France and with an international network of distribution partners, AETA Audio Systems designs and manufactures AoIP (audio over IP) devices recognised and used around the world in the broadcast industry including live reporting, sports commentary and remote production, as well as developing applications for police surveillance, industrial monitoring and public transport, all areas where robust communications clarity is critical.

“We are pleased to join TCCA in order to extend our knowledge of critical communications applications and to share our knowledge and experience. We hope that our membership will be beneficial for the community of TCCA members as well as for our company,” said Yann Vonarburg, AETA Managing Director.

Since its beginnings in 1978, AETA Audio Systems has been developing innovative, lightweight, compact and easy-to-use products to provide users with simple, secure solutions for audio transmission and communications. The company maintains a tradition of expertise and technical excellence and offers a full range of audio and IP codecs designed to adapt to all operating conditions. It also designs remote access tools and call-management systems for supervising and running multi-resource communications networks.

As a pioneer in mobile communications technology,  AETA’s portfolio includes support for 5G, a significant milestone in wireless audio transport, delivering higher bandwidth, lower latency, and improved network stability, even in dense or high-traffic environments – essential requirements for critical communications.

With theoretical speeds up to 100 Gbps, 5G helps reduce congestion risks and minimises the need for complex network configurations. This translates into faster setup times, more stable connections and greater operational confidence.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome the AETA team to our global membership,” said TCCA CEO Kevin Graham. “AETA has a history of bringing innovative solutions to the broadcast sector and we look forward to them extending their expertise to include critical sector solutions where clear audio is crucial."
