CCW 2022 | Critical Communications World 2022 Welcomes Ministers in Attendance

Florian Tursky, Austrian State Secretary for Digitization and Broadband will open the event and Kirsia Pimiä, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Finland will give the opening keynote.

This year, Critical communications World will feature three days of in-depth conference sessions and Focus Forum sessions, delivered by critical communications thought leaders from across the globe.

The theme this year is ‘Evolving the Ecosystem,’ with multiple topic streams including ‘international perspectives and collaboration’, ‘transition to broadband and 5G,’ ‘cybersecurity’ and ‘evolving technologies.’

At the event, Mr Florian Tursky, Austrian State Secretary for Digitization and Broadband, will be officially opening the event on 21 June. Ms Kirsia Pimiä, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Finland, will give the opening keynote address on 22 June, on the topic: 'What will the future look like and what can we do about it now'.

Kirsi Pimiä has served as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, which is the ministry for internal security and migration, since February 1 2020. Relating to her position as the Permanent Secretary, she acts as the Chairperson of the National Cooperation Group of Internal Security and as a Vice Chairperson of the Advisory Board of National Defense Education.

Kirsi Pimiä is among others a Member of the Committee for EU Affairs, the Security Committee of Finland, the Arctic Advisory Board dealing with Finland’s Strategy for the Arctic Region, the Finnish National Commission on Sustainable Development, the National Emergency Supply Council, the Coordination Group of National Intelligence and Situational Picture, the Advisory Board of Finland Customs, and the Advisory Body on Civil Service Ethics.

Critical Communications World (CCW) 2022 will be taking place at the Messe in Vienna, on 21-23 June.
