Introduction
Mercury Notes is an easy to use Windows® application for sending and receiving messages on TETRA networks, such as the Airwave network in the UK. Familiar in use to standard Windows email clients, it makes use of the real-time SDS service which is unique to TETRA networks. It allows fast and reliable text messages to be sent to any TETRA mobile or hand-portable, or another Mercury Notes user.

Features
The Mercury Notes screen is arranged into a column of buttons which activate its features, a main window which displays the message archive, a message window which shows the full text and attributes of the selected message, and a pair of buttons for exiting or hiding the application.

Mercury Notes is designed to integrate with the Windows environment and appears as an icon in the 'systray' while running in background and is activated by clicking on the icon or automatically when a new message is received.

Connecting-Up

Mercury Notes utilises your existing TETRA device which needs to be connected to the PC using a spare serial port (you may require a special cable to do this). Current versions of Mercury Notes support Nokia, Motorola and Sepura terminals.
