eurofunk Awarded the Cyber Trust Silver Label
Austrian critical-communications provider eurofunk GmbH hasrecently been granted the Silver Cyber Trust Label, an independent certification confirming that its control-center solutions meet stringent European cybersecurity requirements.
The label, aligned with ISO/IEC 27001, German BSI guidelines and the Austrian Cyber Risk Rating Scheme, attests that eurofunk’s information-security management system satisfies the forthcoming NIS-2 Directive and incorporates structured supplier-risk controls. Auditors verified end-to-end protection of availability, confidentiality and integrity across development, hosting and support processes.
For emergency-service clients, the certification translates into verifiable evidence for regulators and auditors, shortening procurement cycles and reducing compliance costs. “Control centers are part of critical national infrastructure; any supply-chain weakness can impair public safety,” said an independent assessor. “Eurofunk has demonstrated that security is operational, not aspirational.”
The award follows a year-long evaluation of access management, patch governance, incident-response and disaster-recovery documentation. The company will undergo annual surveillance audits to maintain the designation.
Eurofunk, which supplies dispatch technology to more than 200 control rooms across Europe, views the label as external validation of its continuous-improvement philosophy. “Cybersecurity is a process, not a project,” a company spokesperson noted.
