German ATEX specialist expands into mission-critical broadband terminals as it joins the world's leading critical communications association

i.safe MOBILE GmbH, the German specialist in explosion-proof and intrinsically safe mobile communication devices, has become an official member of TCCA (The Critical Communications Association), the international organisation bringing together governments, regulators, manufacturers, operators and end users to advance open standards and mission-critical broadband technologies for professional users worldwide.

Based in Lauda-Königshofen, Germany, i.safe MOBILE has built its reputation over many years supplying reliable professional equipment to the ATEX sector for use in hazardous environments. Drawing on this experience, the company is now expanding its portfolio to include MCX and MCPTX terminals, aimed at public authorities and other mission-critical users.

Since 2026, i.SAFE MOBILE has also manufactured selected mobile devices in Germany, overseeing the full process from development through production and quality testing.

The company said the TCCA membership marks an important step in its strategic expansion from its established explosion-proof business into the broader mission-critical communications market, and that it looks forward to playing an active role within TCCA's committees and working groups.
