Priority Dispatch President Joins iCERT Board of Directors
iCERT is the only industry trade association focused exclusively on emergency response technologies, equipment, systems, services, and applications.
The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) has announced the appointment of Chris Murdock, President of Priority Dispatch Corp., to its Board of Directors, effective 22 May 2026.
Murdock brings more than two decades of experience in emergency communications to the iCERT Board. Having begun his career in the mailroom at Priority Dispatch over 20 years ago, he has developed extensive first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing emergency communication centres worldwide. His appointment is intended to strengthen industry dialogue and foster innovation grounded in operational realities.
"This is about giving back to an industry I love and appreciate," said Murdock. "I'm excited to contribute to the continued advancement of service quality and support to the emergency management community."
Sara Weston, Executive Director of iCERT, welcomed the appointment, noting that Priority Dispatch's decades of direct partnership with thousands of emergency communications centres globally brings valuable real-world perspective to the organisation's leadership.
Priority Dispatch has delivered research-driven emergency communication protocols to agencies in more than 60 countries for over 45 years, operating in close partnership with the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch.
